Following a spur-of- the-moment decision to attend the Upright Citizens Brigade’s ASSSSCAT 3000 show while on holiday to New York City, Jim knew long-form improvisation was his thing.
An improv obsessive who has trained and performed on local, national and international stages throughout his improv career, Jim is a graduate of Chicago’s iO training program, and also has training through the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, Canberra's ImproACT and Brisbane's ImproMafia. He is passionate about advancing the profile of improv throughout Brisbane and the world, and sharing this art form with new people.
Jim regularly performs around Brisbane with Big Fork Theatre and Impro Mafia, including performances at New York City's Del Close Marathon, the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Bris Funny Fest, the Anywhere Theatre Festival, the Brisbane Fringe Festival, and the Brisbane Festival. He has also told stories for Brisbane institution Yarn: Stories Spun in Brisbane and dabbles in sketch comedy from time to time. He also watches entirely too much professional wrestling.
