Bring It, Sing It
Presented by Mark Grimes of Big Fork Theatre (Brisbane/Meanjin) as part of the Big Fork Comedy Festival 2025.

Connection is core to improv, and when we improvise singing, we have the unique opportunity to make a connection with our inner thoughts and emotions. Song gives you the chance to let the audience know what's going on in your head without breaking the fourth wall. This workshop will look at how to unlock this and explore the dimensions it can bring to a character.

Workshop Length: 3 hours
Recommended experience level: Intermediate (1 - 3 years experience) in musical improv

Meet Mark Grimes (he/him)
Mark is an improviser, musician, actor and music teacher originally from Scotland. Mark has taught and performed in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, the UK, and USA. With a friendly and thoughtful teaching style, Mark brings an energy and passion to musical improv that makes it fun for everyone, no matter their level of experience.
