MC Masterclass

There’s an art to being a good host. Learn how to build trust, charm the crowd, and be hilarious at the same time. Across this workshop you will be equipped with the tools to approach the best ways to MC a variety of events from comedy nights to corporate functions. This class will be highly practical, giving you plenty of time in front of an audience to try your hand at crowdwork, introducing acts, thinking on your feet, uniting the crowd, and more.

About Marcel

Marcel has MC’d all the best comedy rooms in the country including The Comedy Store, Comedy Republic, Catfish Comedy, The Rhino Room, and more. He also had the responsibility of hosting the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow gigs across Far North Queensland and rural Victoria, performing to audiences from 300 to 1000. Alongside comedy he has hosted weddings, talent shows, writers retreats, award nights, and corporate events.

Big Fork Theatre is dedicated to long form improvisation in the Chicago and New York style, as made famous by Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Mike Meyers.  Big Fork primarily focuses on comedic improvisation.
