Bench Characters (improv workshop)

  • Big Fork Theatre 252 Saint Pauls Terrace Fortitude Valley, QLD, 4000 Australia (map)

Bench Characters

We often find ourselves coming back to character archetypes in improv: the wizard, the psychiatrist, the zany waiter, the Hollywood producer. Sure, they have different names but haven’t we met them before? These are our Bench Characters. This workshop aims to not only extend your repertoire of reliable foundational folks but also to fall in love with them as you give them new depth and dimensions. You’ll leave this workshop full of potential characters for your next show and feel comfortable knowing they’ll always be there for you.
